Sopore, Oct 18 (KNO): In a unique way to foster discipline, spiritual growth and moral responsibility among the younger generation, the Auqaf Committee in Sopore has rolled out a first-of-its-kind "Youth Motivation and Reform Program" to engage children aged 10 to 15 years in spiritual and personal development. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the 60-day initiative by Central Auqaf Nigeen Bagh Krankshivan Colony, aims to foster discipline, religious commitment and moral values, setting a precedent for youth-oriented programs in the region. The programme encourages participants to offer all five daily prayers at the mosque, with a particular focus on Fajr and Isha congregational prayers. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will receive a new bicycle as a reward—a unique incentive aimed at encouraging attendance and participation. Speaking with KNO, Mehraj ud Din Patni, the Auqaf head, said the moral and spiritual education of youth is their collective responsibility. “The future of our youth lies in our hands. It is our duty to guide them toward a path of faith, discipline, and reform, laying the foundation for a stronger and more ethical society," he said. Local residents and parents have warmly welcomed the programme. They have appreciated the creative approach to youth engagement. Several youngsters have registered for the event. "The first-of-its-kind effort will inspire a cultural shift in Sopore and beyond, with the creation of a generation of youth committed to faith, responsibility and service to the community," said a resident—(KNO)
